HAYDEN TEACHOUT

bio/c.v.

hayden teachout (b. 1990) is a visual artist.

hayden investigates collisions of meaning making, memory creation, and technology in the context of a changing sociopolitical landscape, with specific focus on the intersection of the current state of surveillance and our cultural impulse to publicly self-curate individual identities as well as specific moments in time.

more recently hayden has become interested in non-physical barriers as they are actualized in cultural production. physicality in the work remains important to him—often creating spaces that ask a viewer to investigate by means of tools, physical and otherwise.
